Youth Art
The Youth Art Tent features a juried exhibit—one of the festival’s most popular attractions—displays student artwork from over a dozen area schools. This season, visitors are encouraged to grab a paintbrush and put their creativity into action by contributing to a “Community Canvas,” a collaborative mural project that is new to the festival. Folks of any age may lend their imagination to this visual piece of storytelling, which will stretch nearly 20 feet in length. After the festival comes to a close Sunday evening, the plan is to donate the resulting mural to a local maker space, where it can continue to be enjoyed by the public.
